At the heart of NSU’s main campus are the five-story Alvin Sherman Library, Research, and Information Technology Center and the Don Taft University Center, NSU’s state-of-the-art, multipurpose sports and recreation complex. In addition to an array of graduate and undergraduate on-campus housing options, as well as athletic fields and facilities, NSU is also home to the Miami Dolphins training facility. Located across campus is NSU's Health Professions Division, as well as the Sanford L. Ziff Center for our Health Care Centers that serve the community and NSU students and staff.
Athletics / Sports
The NSU Sharks compete in Division II of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) as members of the Sunshine State Conference. Offering 17 intercollegiate athletic programs, our student-athletes enjoy a winning edge thanks to dedicated coaches and athletic training staff members; some of the best baseball, softball, and soccer facilities in South Florida; and of course, The Shark Tank (a thundering, 4,500-seat arena in the heart of the Don Taft University Center) and an Olympic competition pool.
The NSU Athletics Department prides itself in not only athletic excellence, but also academic excellence. Since joining the NCAA in 2002, NSU student-athletes have maintained greater than 3.0 GPAs, on average.
Financial Aid / Tuition
NSU is committed to making college education accessible and affordable by offering a variety of financial aid and scholarship options.
