Academic Life
GCU offers its students more than just lectures and papers: we give them the hands-on experience they want, challenge students to think big, and then give them the skills they need to accomplish their goals. Georgian Court University offers Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (BS), Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA), Master of Arts (MA), and Master of Business Administration degrees. Boasting over 30 undergraduate and 10 graduate degrees in the School of Arts & Sciences, School of Business and Digital Media, and the School of Education, there is a program that is right for all students. Small class size of a student-to-faculty ratio of 14:1, allow for an individualized approach to learning.
Facilities and Resources
Set on a magnificent 156-acre estate Georgian Court University was formerly the winter home of George Jay Gould. Our 67,000-square-foot Wellness Center is a state-of-the-art centerpiece on a campus fully equipped for physical fitness, athletic excellence, and environmental awareness. The Wellness Center Complex features a 1,200-seat arena, five athletics fields (including new synthetic turf), a six-court outdoor tennis center, and an abundance of training space for GCU’s conference-winning NCAA Division II student-athletes; An advanced exercise science lab and two professional dance studios; A state-of-the-art fitness center; and a diverse range of fitness and wellness programs.
Jeffries Hall is Georgian Court’s largest academic building, providing classrooms, seminar rooms, offices, art studios, and computer labs. The state-of-the-art Audrey Birish George Science Center offers the latest laboratory and instruction space for scientific study.
Financial Aid / Tuition
GCU’s primary motive is to help students navigate through the process in order to afford tuition at a private university and obtain the best education possible despite economic conditions. In 2016, 99% of our students received financial aid. Your college education is an important investment in yourself and your future. When you are considering the cost of a GCU education, you should also consider the value of a GCU education. In 2017, GCU was ranked in the top 5% in the northeast by Washington Monthly College Guide as a “Best Bang for the Buck”, in addition of in the top 10% nationally by The Economist when it comes to our graduates and median income. GCU was also ranked in Money Magazines as a top college that added the most value.
Admission
Georgian Court strives to enroll students who can benefit most from its academic programs. Entrance is based on individual merit. High school record of achievement is of primary importance. The majority of students at Georgian Court ranked in the upper half of their senior high school class. Transfer students are accepted into the freshman, sophomore, and junior classes for fall and spring semesters. All transfer applicants must be in good standing at their previous college. Applicants with fewer than 24 credits must fulfill all requirements for admission to the freshman class. Further consideration is given to extracurricular activities and letters of recommendation submitted by teachers, counselors, employers, or similarly qualified people. An interview is highly recommended, and a tour of the campus is available at the interview.

Other campus buildings include the Sister Mary Joseph Cunningham Library, the Raymond Hall Complex, which houses the School of Education and theComputer Center. The School of Business and the Department of Psychology reside in Farley Center, which includes a computer lab, student lounge, and the new international collaboration center.
