Admission

Admission to UMKC is based on the high school curriculum and a combination of ACT or SAT/class rank. For students attending high schools that do not rank, GPA will be used in admission decisions.

4 Units of Mathematics (Algebra I or higher)
3 Units of Science
3 Units of Social Studies
2 Units of a single Foreign Language
1 Unit of Fine Arts

Top 14%	18	940 - 970
Top 22%	19	980 - 1010
Top 31%	20	1020 - 1050
Top 38%	21	1060 - 1090
Top 46%	22	1100 - 1120
Top 52%	23	1130 - 1150
Top 53% or lower	24 or higher	1150 or higher

Trial admission

Students who do not meet the automatic admission requirements will be reviewed individually for possible admission on a trial basis. If admitted, students may be required to participate in an academic support program as a condition of their admission.

Missouri enhanced admission

Missouri residents who graduate in the top 10 percent of their class and who have met the 17 core curriculum requirements will be admissible regardless of ACT/SAT score. Those who graduate from a high school that does not rank students must have a 3.5 GPA in the 17 core curriculum classes.
